Linda and Tim open new yoga and meditation retreat in St Mullins
A yoga and meditation retreat centre has opened to guests and yoga lovers overlooking St Mullins.
Married couple Tim Dawson and Linda Huskes met in Dublin in 2015 when Linda was about to move to Ireland from her native Holland for a job. Three years, a marriage and a move to the country later, they have turned Mulvarra House B&B in St Mullins into a small and intimate workshop and retreat centre. Describing their business venture as a hidden gem on the River Barrow, Tim and Linda said it is a unique location for people to unwind and relax. Mulvarra’s Breathing Space Studio had its official launch in mid-January when Tim and Linda threw open their doors to their friends, neighbours and local business people to christen the Breathing Space studio in style.
Mulvarra House offers its own yoga and meditation retreats, under the guidance of Tim. All of the food is locally sourced and cooked by Linda.
Linda and Tim will also be hosting guest teachers in the areas of the arts, traditional crafts and music. Mulvarra’s next three event are: a day workshop in storytelling in February, a music composition residential weekend workshop in March, and another yoga weekend in March.
Starting on Wednesday, February 20, the addition of weekly drop-in yoga classes means Mulvarra can provide a resource to the local community.
Linda said: ‘ The peace and quiet of Mulvarra House allows you to leave the stress of everyday life behind you. With stunning views of the River Barrow, you can switch off, meditate, eat wholesome food and enjoy the homely accommodation that is on offer.’
