GAA DRAW

The end of the year Tullogher-Rosbercon GAA Club’s fundraising draw saw Ann Marie Mullally from Ballyeden take the fist prize of €250. Second prize of €150 went to Davy Morrissey from Glenmore while John O’Dwyer c/o New Ross Mart got a cheque for €100. Fourth prize of €70 went to Philip Kennedy c/o Cooney/Furlong, New Ross and €50 cheques were won by Aaron Murphy of Brownsford, Tom Roche, Garrandarragh, and Sam Reeves of Hoodsgrove. Mary Murphy of Brownsford took the eight prize which was a bottle of whiskey. The club wish to thank all who supported the draw which was a great success.

TABLE QUIZ

The table quiz organised for St Canice’s National School Rosbercon takes place in the Parish Pump on Friday, February 15. Tables of four cost €20 and all are welcome to attend.

GREAT DOUBLE

At the Irish Life Junior and under-23 all-Ireland Indoor Championships it was a day to remember for St Joseph’s athlete, Sophie Becker. This talented young sportswoman took gold in the 200 metres event and followed up with another victory in the 60 metres dash. Many an athlete would be content with any colour medal at a national championship but to take two gold on the same day was some achievement-so well done to Sophie Becker.

IRISH WHEELCHAIR ASSOCIATION

The Irish Wheelchair Association would like to thank all who contributed to their recent church gate collection where €276 was donated.
