GAA DRAW

The end of the year Tullogher-Rosbercon GAA Club’s fundraisin­g draw saw Ann Marie Mullally from Ballyeden take the fist prize of €250. Second prize of €150 went to Davy Morrissey from Glenmore while John O’Dwyer c/o New Ross Mart got a cheque for €100. Fourth prize of €70 went to Philip Kennedy c/o Cooney/Furlong, New Ross and €50 cheques were won by Aaron Murphy of Brownsford, Tom Roche, Garrandarr­agh, and Sam Reeves of Hoodsgrove. Mary Murphy of Brownsford took the eight prize which was a bottle of whiskey. The club wish to thank all who supported the draw which was a great success.

TABLE QUIZ

The table quiz organised for St Canice’s National School Rosbercon takes place in the Parish Pump on Friday, February 15. Tables of four cost €20 and all are welcome to attend.

GREAT DOUBLE

At the Irish Life Junior and under-23 all-Ireland Indoor Championsh­ips it was a day to remember for St Joseph’s athlete, Sophie Becker. This talented young sportswoma­n took gold in the 200 metres event and followed up with another victory in the 60 metres dash. Many an athlete would be content with any colour medal at a national championsh­ip but to take two gold on the same day was some achievemen­t-so well done to Sophie Becker.

IRISH WHEELCHAIR ASSOCIATIO­N

The Irish Wheelchair Associatio­n would like to thank all who contribute­d to their recent church gate collection where €276 was donated.
