Fined €400 for parking in disabled bay
THE mechanical problems being experienced by Andrew Connors (42) of 7 Canon Murphy Park, Clonroche during a shopping expedition to Enniscorthy earned scant sympathy from Judge Brian O’Shea.
The District Court was told how Connors was the occupant of a black Toyota Avensis hatchback found by the garda traffic corps in a slot reserved for disability permit holders at the bottom of Castle Hill.
He told the judge that had pulled into the bay as he failed in his attempt to start the engine by running it down the hill.
A fine of €400 was imposed.
