Pleaded guilty to running unauthoris­ed pharmacy

A CAMPILE man who pleaded guilty to a number of drugs offences as well as running an unauthoris­ed pharmacy business from his home, had sentenced adjourned when he appeared before Judge Cormac Quinn at Wexford Circuit Criminal Court.

Michael Ignaczuk, of Garryduff, Campile, New Ross, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis at Garryduff, Campile, on July 27, 2017.

He further pleaded guilty to having the drug dizapan, in his possession at Garryuff, Campile, on the same date. A guilty plea was also entered to a charge of the cultivatio­n of cannabis plants at Garryduff.

The defendant also pleaded guilty to conducting a retail pharmacy business on or about July 27, 2017, at Garryduff, Campile, contrary to Pharmacy Act, 2007, by supplying the medical product, Tadafem 20, without prescripti­on.

He also pleaded to having an unauthoris­ed weapon – a stun gun – in his possession at Garryduff, Campile, on the same date.

Defence Counsel John Peart applied for an adjournmen­t to allow time for the preparatio­n of a Probation and Welfare report.

Judge Quinn granted the applicatio­n. He said he would adjourn sentencing to April 11 next.
