Camogie team still without manager

- DEAN GOODISON Tadhg the Tornado!

THE search for a new manager for the Wexford senior camogie team approaches the month milestone, with more interviews expected to take place this coming week for the position vacated with the removal of Martin Carey in January.

With the services of just stand-in boss Mick Curran for the entirety of the Littlewoods National League campaign, Wexford face their final contest in the group stages when they welcome Tipperary to St Patrick’s Park on Sunday afternoon (2 p.m. throw-in).

The pressure is growing on Wexford County Camogie board and chairperson Jacinta Roche, with now two weeks gone by since they interviewed their first set of four candidates.

Whoever is eventually appointed to the position, be it this week or next, is going to walk into an incredibly difficult situation with very little time to put their stamp on things.
