LATE PAT RYAN

The recent death of Pat Ryan from Kilbrahan, at the age of 79 was heard of at the end of January with a deep sense of shock and sadness throughout the parish. Pat was a quiet man who went about his farming business without fuss and also to his weekly shopping in New Ross. In his young days he was a talented hurler with Tullogher, playing at full forward in the good teams of the 1960s. A keen follower of Kilkenny hurling he was a good judge of how they were progressing and took great pleasure in their successes of recent years.

Pat was waked in Doyle’s Funreal Home Rosbercon and his burial took place in Mullinarrigle cemetery after Requiem Mass there. He is survived by his sister Mary (Hearne), brothers, Willie, Mikey and Wattie and a large extended family to whom sincere sympathy is extended on their sad and sudden loss.
