Winners in the hall last week were Alice Gaffney, Margaret O’Neill and Jamie Grangel. Second were Michael Whelan, Luke Power and Brendan Colfer. In third place were Pat Ryan, Watty Byrne and Larry Power while Nick Doyle, Willie Kehoe and Siobhán Doyle came fourth. The LGD was won by Mick Culleton, Pat Murray and Johnny Colfer while raffle winners were Siobhán Doyle, Jamie Grangel, Michael Murphy, Noel Redmond and Luke Power.

GUSSERANE DANCE

Tickets are now on sale from door to door for the Gusserane parish council’s annual dance on Friday, November 8, in Gusserane Hall. Music will be provided by the popular Hogan and Kenny. All proceeds will go towards heating oil for the church. Admission can also be paid on the door and is only €5. Tea will be served on the night. Dancing kicks off at 9.30 p.m.

TINTERN REVIEW

The 2019 edition of the Tintern Review is now on sale throughout the area. This year’s book features Kettlebell­s, a WW2 crash, JFKs granny from Cloonagh, GAA including the Parish League of 1985, Soccer, Ploughing, Rowing and many other snippets and photos of local interest. The price is still only €7 and no home should be without a copy. Copies in the Gusserane area are on sale from Rosies Bar.

HOOK TOURISM

Hook Tourism AGM is open to all members and non-members. It takes place in the Fort Conan Hotel in Duncannon at 8 p.m. on Monday, November 4.

LOTTO

There was no jackpot winner last week when the numbers drawn were 5, 19, 22 and 26. The match-three winner was Bill Whelan from Clongeen. This week’s jackpot stands at €11,600.

Ballyculla­ne Ploughing Associatio­n are holding a celebratio­n night in Power’s Lounge, Ballyculla­ne on Saturday, November 2, at 9 p.m. to celebrate the success of all its members throughout the year. Light refreshmen­ts and music on the night.
