Raheen lead the way

Raheen lead the way in Division 2 after a comfortabl­e 4-1 success in Crossabeg on Sunday. Peter Finn (two), Frank Staples and Mark Cowman got the goals for the visitors.

St. Leonards are hot on their heels, however, after edging out fellow high-flyers Curracloe United 3-2. Donal Kiely, Ken Cahill and Jason Dunne scored for the winners, with Conor Hearne and Ryan Donnelly replying for the seasiders.

Gorey Celtic and Taghmon United shared the spoils after a 2-2 draw, with Greg O’Rourke and Kenneth Byrne scoring for Celtic, and Seamie McLoughlin and Cathal Murphy replying.

Jake Flynn and Cillian Cushe (two) got the goals for Gorey Rangers as they won 3-1 away to Shamrock Rovers, while a Tommy Sheridan goal was enough for Rosslare Port to edge out Enniscorth­y United.

Celtic. Danny Walsh and Joey Murphy both bagged doubles for the winners.

Caim United also won by the odd goal in seven, edging out St. Joseph’s with goals from Darren Blackburn, Paudie Lacey and Anthony Peare (two).

Pa O’Brien, Joseph Farrell and Dillon Kearns scored for Joey’s.

Wexford Bohs had their shooting boots on on Sunday as they ran out 8-1 winners in Curracloe.

Eoghan Whitty, Beau Brennan and Ross Hammond all bagged doubles for Bohs, with Shane O’Connor and Graham Kelly also getting in on the act.

Fellow table-toppers St. Leonards also picked up three points as they overcame Killenagh Wanderers 6-4 in a goal-fest.

Matty Flynn was the main man for the saints, helping himself to four goals, while Shane Ryan and Dylan Ryan chipped in with a goal apiece, and Tom Hobbs (two), Eoin Whelan and Grant Evans replied.

Ben Cummins, Paddy Roche, James Walsh, Martin Nolan and Alan Walsh all hit the back of the net for Campile United as they ran out 5-1 winners over St. Cormac’s.

Enniscorth­y United earned the bragging rights as three goals in the first 20 minutes from Jamie Foley, Dylan Groarke and Darren Walsh saw them claim a 3-0 win against Enniscorth­y Town.

Martin Og Storey grabbed a hat-trick for The Ballagh United in their 6-1 win over Castledock­rell, with David O’Gorman, Noel Dempsey and Tommy Storey also scoring for the winners.
