FLOWER ARRANGEMEN­T

St Louis Day Care Centre will hold a Flower Demonstrat­ion by florist, Lennie Wall in the St Louis Day Care Centre, Ramsgrange on Thursday, November 28, at 7.30 p.m. There will also be Pop Up Shops on the night. Tickets are €10 and can be purchased at St Louis Day Care Centre. Phone number is 051 389509. All proceeds in aid of St Louis Day Care Centre.

Last week’s numbers were 9, 11, 14 and 16 in the Tintern lotto draw. There was no jackpot winner and the match three winners were James and Maria from Clongeen. This week’s jackpot stands at €11,900.

TINTERN REVIEW

Christmas is coming and the 2019 edition of the Tintern Review is now on sale throughout the area. This year’s book features Kettlebell­s, a WW2 crash, JFKs granny from Cloonagh, GAA including the Parish League of 1985, Soccer, Ploughing, Rowing and many other snippets and photos of local interest. The price is still only €7 and no home should be without a copy. Copies in the Gusserane area are on sale from Rosies Bar, while also available in shops in Ballyculla­ne and St Leonards as well as in Ballyculla­ne PO.

CARDS

Winners in the hall last week were John Sinnott, Martin Stafford and Kathleen Cadogan. Second went to Declan Egan, Marie Doyle and Pat Whelan while third went to David Murphy, James McDonald and Pat Whelan. The last game draw was won by Alice Gaffney, Margaret O’Neill and Jamie Grangle. Raffle winners were Johnny Colfer, Seán Colfer, Siobhán Doyle and Johnny Larkin.

GAA CLUB AGMS

It’s the time of year when the local GAA club holds its annual general meetings. Gusserane Coiste na nÓg have booked Friday, November 22, while the adult club hold theirs the following Friday, November 29, at 8 p.m. The adult meeting will be preceded by Mass in Gusserane church at 7.30 p.m. in memory of deceased members of the club.

Well done meanwhile to the Gusserane under-20 football team on a comprehens­ive win over Castletown in Coolgreany recently. They are now in the premier A county quarter final.
