LIVE CRIB/CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE

An afternoon of a fantastic Christmas Experience will be held in the Ash Tree, Ballywilli­am Y21 HT28 Co. Wexford. It will start at 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Fun for all the family.

Take the kids to see Santa’s Grotto and write and decorate their letters at the art and Crafts Table and then post it in the postbox. Come and see the live Crib with animals and our very own Holy Family.

Need a little snack, no problem tea or coffee/Mulled Wine Mince pies, threats and even Hot Chocolate served. There will also be lots of festive singing with local choirs belting out a few tunes as we all take in the Christmas Experience. There is no charge for this event but donations greatly appreciate for all the events.

Stalls also present on the day and there are also hampers located in the following premises the Ash Tree, Ballywilli­am, Ballyanne Bar, Blanchfiel­ds Bar, St Mullins, Dermot Kehoe’s Home-value, Foleys Bar, Newbawn, Glanbia, Ballywilli­am, Glanbia, Campile, Horse and Hound, Ballinaboo­la, O’Dwyers Daybreak, Ballywilli­am, Pauline’s Bar, the Irishtown,

Seán Kehoe’s Doors and Floors, Top Place, Ballywilli­am at €2 or three x €5.

Draws will be held on December 23. There is also one in Rathgarogu­e Church and the draw will be Christmas Eve (at €2 or three x €5. In keeping with a traditiona­l Christmas, Rathgarogu­e Community Developmen­t will also have Christmas trees and you can order your tree online at buytickets.at/rathgarogu­e/ or email rathgarogu­e.christmas@gmail.com. The trees will be available to collect from the Live Crib and Christmas Experience in the Ash Tree, Ballywilli­am on Saturday, December 14, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, December 15, from 11 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. After or before these dates collection is directly from the farm. CHERNOBYL FUNDRAISER

A group of TY students from Good Counsel College (some from local families in the area) will travel to an orphanage in Belarus in April 2020, This is in aid of the Burren Chernobyl Children’s Project and will take place in the old School in Rathgarogu­e on Sunday evening, December 15, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be a selection of Irish music, Irish dancing and singing.

PARISH CHRISTMAS CONCERT

This will be held in St Mary’s Church, Cushinstow­n on Friday, December 6, at 7.30 p.m. Group’s featured such as the Pike Choir, Credo many of our local artists, and a great night of music to be had. Tickets will cost Adults 10, families €20, and OAP/ Students €5.

Tickets are available from the parish office or from any of the Committee Members. We wish everyone a very happy and peaceful Christmas. Your support is appreciate­d.

TERRERATH HALL

Bingo every Wednesday night at 8 p.m., we would appreciate all support and all are welcome. Every Monday night, our new yoga classes have commenced in the community centre from 7.30-8.30. Open to both male and female. Friday nights: Irish dancing, and Thursdays – Slimming World. The local soccer club also has training sessions from five years upwards. The Hall Committee appreciate­s everyone using the facilities and helps the upkeep of the hall.

CLOTHES BAG COLLECTION

Terrerath Community Centre are holding a clothes collection in the next couple of months, anyone who has unwanted clothes (shoes, bags, etc) no duvets, pillows or underwear. We would love everyone to support this cause in aid of NCBI (which supports people with sight loss).

SPLIT-THE-POT

Please remember split-the-pot is drawn each Sunday following 11 a.m. Mass in St Mary’s Church, Cushinstow­n. Tickets for the split-the-pot is available locally at €2 each

SVP COLLECTION.

The annual collection for St Vincent de Paul Society will take place on the weekend of December 7/8. All funds collected go to support those in need in our area. Your continued generosity is greatly appreciate­d.

RATHNURE PANTO

The Panto in Rathnure Hall this Christmas is starting December 8th (6.30 p.m.), then continues on December 11th, 12th, 13th (7.45 p.m.), 15th (6 p.m.), 16th, 18th (7.45 p.m.), and then three shows after Christmas, December 27th (7.45 p.m.) December 28th and 29th (6 p.m.).
