All in One Event Hire in Wexford town has been named Wedding Specialist Supplier of the Year at the fourth annual Irish Wedding Awards in The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Dublin Airport.

Established in 2007, All in One Event Hire is a full-service marquee and event hire company which works with couples to make their wedding day as memorable as possible, looking after every detail of the event from the marquee to the furnishings and lighting as well as furniture and crockery.

‘ We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded Wedding Specialist Supplier of the Year at the recent Irish Wedding Awards,’ said Managing Director, Ger O’Leary.

‘ To be acknowledged on a national scale is something we are extremely proud of and which is a testament to our staff and crew who make our customers visions into reality.’

On a night when businesses and wedding specialists from around the country were recognised for their work there was further success for Wexford when Sophie Wong, make up artists, from Gorey was named Freelance Wedding Makeup Specialist of the Year.

Only in business since 2017 Sophie said that, given the high standard of nominees, she was ‘shocked’ to have won.

‘I known all the other nominees and how good they are, so I was really shocked, but really happy and delighted too.’

Having previously worked in The Powder Room in Gorey, Sophie opted to strike out on her own in July of 2017 and has since become one of the country’s most acclaimed make-up artists.

In addition, Jenny’s Cupcakes won the Cake Designer of the Year prize for Leinster.

Discussing their success, Jennifer Andrew said she and husband James had almost got into the wedding industry by accident.

‘ We’re 10 years in business now, myself and James. We almost fell into doing weddings when someone had a cancellation and we stepped in.

We were working out of a small kitchen at the time and spent Christmas Eve and Day watching tutorials on how to do wedding cakes on YouTube,’ Jennifer recalled.

‘ We got another booking at the wedding, and another at the one after and it went from there. We’re a small and intimate service, we also do confirmations, communions and christenings, and would know all our customers by name.’

The glitzy evening was hosted by the best-selling author, Andrea Hayes.
