FETHARD ST MOGUE’S GAA

Well done to Mikie Dwyer, who made a telling contributi­on when introduced as a sub when Wexford beat Kilkenny in the league last weekend in Wexford Park. The draws for this year’s championsh­ips were made last weekend. In Senior Football Fethard are drawn to play local rivals and last year’s finalists Gusserane in the first round followed by HWH Bunclody, Shelmalier­s, Sarsfields, and Glynn-Barntown. In Senior Hurling they play Shelmalier­s in the first round followed by St Anne’s, Glynn-Barntown, Ferns and Oulart. The hurlers were at home to Glenmore in their debut in the Leinster Hurling League last Saturday. The footballer­s played Adamstown in the first round of the Tommy Murphy Cup yesterday evening in Ramstown.

CREATIVE EXCHANGE

The Creative Exchange Group is changing its meeting day to Mondays beginning February 17. We have interestin­g opportunit­ies coming along so why not join us from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. drop in session for those adults interested in arts and crafts practice. This group is hosted by your community group and kindly supported by Colclough Hall Committee.

WEEKLY LOTTO

There was no winner of last week’s Club lotto jackpot of €8,100. Next week’s jackpot stands at €8,200. The numbers drawn were 2, 9, 12 and 14. The club had two lucky-dip winners, Tony Murphy and Sharon McGee who won €30 each.

FETHARD SPLIT-THE-POT

Congratula­tions to Willie Waters, who won €53 in this week’s split-the-pot (February 20). Envelopes for split-the-pot are available in the post office, Dillon’s, The Wheelhouse, Molloy’s, Tom Neville’s and the Tourist Office. Draw takes place every Thursday.

LOTTO SYNDICATE

Gusserane GAA Club have decided to run with their very successful lotto Syndicate fundraiser for the coming year again, once the current one ends in the coming weeks. The annual cost is €240 per entry. This includes you in the club’s lotto Syndicate where the hope is that the Syndicate will land a major National Lottery win during the course of the year. It also includes a Model County Draw where you will be in with three monthly chances of winning a car, among many other prizes.

Two lucky members of the Syndicate will also be drawn from the hat each month where they will win €100 each. There will also be a draw for all fully paid up members. Proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards the constructi­on of a gym at Tom Somers Park in Gusserane. Constructi­on is expected to commence very shortly. Your support once again would be greatly appreciate­d.
