Club membership – There is a registrati­on night this Friday, March 13, in the complex from 7.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

Club lotto – Results of draw in the Cloch Bán Ffrench’s February 28. Numbers drawn were 12, 14, 19 and 21. No jackpot winner. Two match-three winners Sarah Flood and Sinéad Harris winning €100 each. Healthy Club Step Challenge – Joe Lillis has registered Cloughbawn GAA on the portal and personally downloaded the MyLife App and created an account. The Challenge is available on the My Life App currently, and Cloughbawn GAA Club is an option to select. The actual Challenge starts on March 16 and ends on April 12. We need 15 people to download the App, and connect their activity tracking device (Fitbit/Garmin/mobile phone etc) for steps to be counted. Would be good if we could get active club members to participat­e as it’s a good opportunit­y to win the prize. Contact Joe, MJ or Suzanne.

ST PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

Assembly for floats at Cloughbawn Church this year at 1 p.m. Parade passing through village at 2 p.m. Tea in Community Centre at prize giving afterwards. Kids groups assemble as usual at Wexkit car park (used to be Pat O’Connor’s). All local businesses and clubs are requested to take this opportunit­y to show off your companies/clubs on this occasion. Your participat­ion in the parade is greatly appreciate­d. Lets make it a good one.’.

A church gate collection in aid of Fighting Blindness will be taking place on March 14 and 15 all support is great appreciate I can be contacted at 087 9256769 for further informatio­n.

LAUGH FOR HOPE AND HOSPICE

‘Laugh for Hope and Hospice’ is the name of a theatrical group that is planning a tour of local venues over the coming weeks.

A spokespers­on for the group said everyone involved is ‘on the road again and ready for action’.

The show promises to be full of laughter and it’s being organised to raise money for the Hope Centre in Enniscorth­y and Wexford Hospice Homecare.

Donations will be accepted on the door at the venues which include: Millenium Bar, Davidstown

(Saturday, March 14); Mernagh’s Bar, Oylegate (Saturday, March 21); IFA Centre, Enniscorth­y (Saturday, March 28) and the Horse and Hound, Ballinaboo­la (Saturday, April 4). All shows will begin at 9 p.m.

Local jockey Danny Sheehy was among the early winners at Dundalk on Friday evening, February 28, where we won the 10f handicap on the Anthony McCann trained Alhaijaj. He made much of the running on the 20/1 shot moving forward by half a length. A first winner of the year for the Graiguenam­anagh apprentice and the 53rd win of his career. well-loved songs, drama and comedy.
