WRITING COMPETITIO­N

Write By the Sea Literary Festival 2020, Kilmore Quay, invites all budding and establishe­d writers to enter its Writing Competitio­n in any or all of three categories: Short Story, Memoir and Poetry. Entries should reflect the theme ‘Waves’.

Category winners will receive €250 and the overall winner will receive €500. Winners will be invited to read at the Festival Opening on September 25 and the winning entries will be published on the festival website. A perfect reason to get the creative juices flowing during these restrictiv­e times.

ST. JAMES’ GAA

On behalf of the club we wish to thank all are volunteers who have been delivering groceries to those in need in our parish for the past few months. They have being doing commendabl­e work all across our community during these unusual times and without their contributi­on many of our community would have struggles. We can not thank you all enough.

We would also like to say congratula­tions to all members of our club who recently had their sixth year graduation­s and wish them all the best in the future.

Hook Tourism have closed both the Fethard and Duncannon offices till further notice due to COVID19. If anyone needs anything printed urgently, then email info@hooktouris­m.com and we will endeavour to help.

ACTIVE RETIREMENT

Because of the coronaviru­s, we have had to postpone all meetings for a while, and all our Day-Trips and our holiday have also been put on hold. It is all about keeping safe and looking out for each other. We will continue to text members to keep you informed.

Ramsgrange Central NS is now taking enrolments for September 2020.
