A meeting will be held on July 7 at 7.30 p.m. for everyone who had booked on the annual Coach Trip to Donegal on August 24. This trip has been postponed to August 23, 2021.

If you wish to have your deposit refunded please call Ann or text at 087 6677411 and we will refund you on July 7 at the centre. (if St Martin’s is not open we will meet you in the Scout and Guide Hall down opposite the school at 7.30 p.m.) Thank you all.

THRIFT FUND

Piercestow­n Thrift Fund is open in the Knockingal­l Org Community Centre (Piercestow­n Scout and Guide Hall) after 10 a.m. Mass on Sundays. It will be collected in the large meeting room with social distances being observed. Thank you to all the supporters for their patience over past few weeks.

WRITING COMPETITIO­N

Write By the Sea Literary Festival 2020, Kilmore Quay, invites all budding and establishe­d writers to enter its Writing Competitio­n in any or all of three categories: Short Story, Memoir and Poetry.

Entries should reflect the theme ‘Waves’. Category winners will receive €250 and the overall winner will receive €500. Winners will be invited to read at the Festival Opening on September 25 and the winning entries will be published on the festival website. A perfect reason to get the creative juices flowing during these restrictiv­e times.
