CARRIG-ON-BANNOW CHURCH
Welcome back to public Masses in Carrig church from July 4/ fifth. Mass on Saturday the fourth at 7 p.m., and Sunday the fifth at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
Due to government health guidelines the seating capacity in our church is drastically reduced. A first come first served system will be in operation in the church. Others may sit in their cars in the church car park where they can hear Mass through the external loudspeakers and receive Holy Communion.
GRANTSTOWN NOTES
Hi to all our patrons. Just letting you know that we are excitedly preparing for your return and we hope you are all safe and well and looking forward to coming back to meet with all your good friends.
We have missed you all and it’s now 15 weeks since we last saw many of you. Remember we are on the other end of the phone if you need us at all to help you in any way. We have a confidential counsellor and our own Nurse Annie if you just want to talk or are looking for any advice. Please feel free to call.
Our brilliant residents are continuing to enjoy a little bit more freedom and if any family members or friends would like to visit or take them out in your car then I’m sure they would be soo happy to see you after 15 weeks since lockdown. They are doing really well following the government advice and we strongly recommend this continues for all to follow up to date H & S standards to ensure our vulnerable adults continue to stay safe.
A big thank you to all our Super Trouper Volunteers, who are continuing to do trojan work in supporting all our residents and the vulnerable in the community.
We are continuing to produce five star delicious meals. If you wish to avail of a Meal, delivered to your door, please give us a ring.
The zoom meetings are going well and running every Wed and Thursday mornings. They are open to all in our community to join. Today’s zoom started with a virtual guided tour of the Vatican museum and the beautiful Sistine Chapel and then to finish off there was a fun quiz - lots of socialising and catch-up over a cup of tea. If you are interested, please contact our office and we will help organise. The quiz was great fun this week.
A big thank you is extended to our local cafe the Red Door for donating the gorgeous muffins to our residents this week?

work on phase two of the new ballalley in Ballymitty is progressing well and should be roofed by the end of July a big thank you to Michael and Theresa Wallace and all the people that supported the dance nights in Tír na nÓg and other fundraisers which enabled us to move on with the new building thank you and stay safe everybody from Timmy and Miley and all the handball committee.
BALLYMITTY MASS/PATRON
Masses will recommence in St Peter’s Church, Hilltown, Ballymitty, on Saturday, July 4, at 7.30 p.m. Masses on Sunday, July 5, will be at the usual times, 8 a.m. and 10.15 a.m.
The patron feast day and the blessings of the graves in Ballymitty takes place on Sunday, July 5, at 1.30 PM. I invite all parishioners to prepare the graves of their loved ones for this day.
The blessing of the graves in Ballingly will also take place on Sunday, July 5, at 7.30 PM.
BALLYMITTY HALL – DATES FOR DIARY
Ballymitty Drive-In Bingo will resume on Monday nights at 8 p.m. from Monday, June 29. Due to Covid restrictions, bingo will be played in cars only for first few weeks. We are looking forward to welcoming you all back to the home of the Drive-In Bingo.
SAD PASSING
Deepest sympathy to Seán Ffrench and family Danescastle on the death of his brother Tom on Wednesday, June 17. Tom was living in Clonroche and he was buried on Saturday, June 20. May he rest in peace.

The society is currently finalising and winding up the Townslands and Field Names Project for parish of Bannow-Ballymitty.
