BILLED as the most affordable electric car in Ireland, the 100 per cent electric new Renault Zoe Z.E. 50 is available with an extended range of 395km, greater performance, a completely redesigned interior, a fresh new exterior look and the most flexible charging on the market.

Priced from €26,990 including the SEAI grant, with three trim levels, Renault says its all-electric supermini saves customers €9,000 versus other long-range electric cars.

Zoe has been the best-selling electric car in Europe since its launch.

The new Renault Zoe is now available to order with Renault’s 202 Buy Now, Pay Later 3+2+1 offer which means real deferral periods and no penalties for customers looking to order a New Zoe.

The three trim levels are the entry-level Play, Iconic and top billing GT Line, although all are attractive and well thought out, and very well specified.

The Play models come with a touch screen with which you can avail of AppleCar Play and Android Auto, while the Iconic comes pre-loaded with Renault’s own map system.

The Iconic features climate control, a wireless phone charger, automatic highlow beam, traffic sign recognition and, in a further nod to its green credentials, seats that are made from 100 per cent recycled material.

The new Zoe comes with a more powerful 52kWh battery, a new R135 (135 hp) motor alongside the current R110 (108 hp) motor, a completely redesigned interior with premium materials and customisable 10-inch TFT instrument cluster as standard.

It features new front-end treatment with revised bumpers, more sculpted bonnet, chrome grille inserts and ‘holographic’-effect Renault diamond logo, and full LED headlamps as standard across the range.

The Zoe can also avail of fast 50kW Direct Current (DC) charging for the first time – 50 kW fast charging can add around 145km of range in as little as half an hour.

Zoe remains the only car with standard 22kWh AC charging capability through the Chameleon Charger.

Impressive demand for Groupe Renault’s 100% electric vehicles, combined with the introduction of the E-TECH range of Plug-in Hybrid and Hybrid models, will allow Groupe Renault to reach its Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFÉ) objectives.

In 2019, Groupe Renault sold nearly 3.8 million vehicles. Worldwide, the group employs more than 180,000 people and
