Sky Blues keep their advantage at the top

Premier Division

North End United maintained their three-point advantage at the top of the TJ Murphy’s Premier Division with a 3-1 win over relegation battlers Cloughbawn at Hollygrove on Sunday.

Kyle Dempsey, Robin Dempsey and Lee Wadding scored for the Sky Blues, while Paidi Cullen replied for the visitors.

Wexford Bohs eased their relegation worries with a win over Rosslare Rangers in a repeat of last season’s Wexford Cup final.

The cup holders triumphed 2-1 thanks to goals from Ciarán Paige and Todd Hynes, with Gearóid Byrne hitting the back of the net for Rangers.

Last season’s league champions Moyne Rangers won by the same scoreline, edging out Campile United with goals from Liam Evans and Rory ‘Git’ O’Connor. Ace marksman PJ Banville got on the scoresheet for Campile.

Meanwhile, Courtown Hibs put another three points on the board with a 2-0 win over Forth Celtic in Murrintown.

Matty Kavanagh and Oisin Condren got the goals for the north county side.

Division 1

Leaders North End United continued where they left off before the enforced break with a 4-2 win over Adamstown on their travels.

Chris Mahon and Conor Hickey scored for the hosts but the Wexford town side proved too strong, netting through Keith Kearney, Dean Roche, Kallum Broaders and Ciarán Carthy.

Ferns United remain three points adrift, having played two games more, after they edged out Glynn Barntown 3-2 thanks to a Conor Jordan hat-trick.

Kevin Carmody and Rioghan Crosbie got the goals for the visitors.

Niall Harney helped himself to a double for Corach Ramblers, with Cathal Cummins getting their other goal as they saw off Moyne Rangers 3-0.

Josh McMullen and Jamie Murphy got the goals for Tombrack United in their 2-1 win over St. Cormac’s, with Jamie Dempsey Doyle replying, while Bridge Rovers eased their relegation fears with a 2-0 away win over New Ross Celtic.

Kevin Murphy and Tom Keavney got the goals for the Castlebrid­ge men.

Division 2

Curracloe United continue to lead the way in Division 2 after overcoming Gorey Celtic 3-1 on Sunday. The seasiders got on the scoresheet through Mark O’Connor, Ryan Donnelly and an own goal, with Jakub Konkel hitting the back of the net for the north county side.

St. Leonards remain hot on their heels, however, after edging out Shamrock Rovers 3-2 with goals from Eoin Ryan, Adrian Flynn and Ken Cahill.

Cian Cowman and Elliot Jordan were on target for the Enniscorth­y side.

Willie Dobbs, Niall Thorpe and Jamie Fox (penalty) got the goals for Enniscorth­y United in their 3-2 win over Raheen, with Dylan Whitty and Mark Cowman replying. Elsewhere, Crossabeg edged out Gorey Rangers 1-0 with a Barry Coughlan goal.

Division 3

Ajax Athletic have a four-point advantage at the top of Division 3 after overcoming Rosslare Strand on Sunday.

Seán Farnan grabbed the only goal of the game to earn the Rajahs the three points.

Brian O’Connor and Seamus Doyle hit the back of the net for Killenagh Wanderers as they won 2-1 away to Wexford Celtic, with Kyle Mann scoring for the hosts. Meanwhile, Shelburne United beat St. Joseph’s 2-0, with goals from Brian Minogue and John Murphy.

Division 3A

All Blacks strengthen­ed their grip in Division 3A with a 3-1 away win over Rosbecon United on Sunday. Adam Devereux, Shane Cassidy and Dot Moore scored for the high-flyers, with Jamie Lalor replying.

Wexford Bohs, who are a point ahead of All Blacks having played four games more, lost 2-1 to Bunclody. Paddy Kavanagh bagged both goals for the winners, with Dom Maher hitting the net for Bohs.

Division 4

Camolin Celtic continue to look good for the Division 4 title after hitting Caim United for six goals without reply on Sunday.

Peter Nash, Dan Leech, Ashley Tully, Thomas Cloke and Glen Carton (two) all got on the scoresheet for the dominant leaders.

Second-placed Rosslare Rangers kept the pressure on with victory over Kiltealy Celtic in a nine-goal thriller.

Jason Ellard netted a hat-trick for Rangers in their 5-4 victory, with Mark O’Donoghue and Seán Stewart also getting in on the act and Patrick Somers and Peter Brooks replying with doubles.

Adam O’Connor, Willie Murphy and Tommy Cogley got the goals for Cloughbawn as they won 3-0 away to St. Joseph’s.

Division 4A

Wexford Bohs have one hand on the Division 4A trophy after their 5-3 win in Campile on Sunday.

Daniel Mullins netted a hattrick for the visitors, while Jay Leniston and Johnny Conway chipped in with a goal apiece and Chris Stafford (two) and Mossy Kent replied for the hosts.

Enniscorth­y United are the only side that can deny them and they kept their hopes alive with a 2-1 win on the road against St. Leonards.

Mick Rigley and Joe Akenyemi scored for United, with Evan O’Neill hitting the back of the net for the home side.
