Atlantis launches new e-commerce website
ATLANTIS of Kilmore Quay has launched its e-commerce website, meaning people all over Ireland can access its range of sustainably sourced fish and seafood.
Having supplied top restaurants, hotels and food shops across the country for many years, Atlantis of Kilmore Quay set up a home delivery service during the first Covid-19 lockdown to enable customers to get seafood delivered to their front door.
Text messages, phonecalls and Facebook messages were used to let people know what was available and to take orders. News of the service spread through word of mouth.
Not only did the new service prove to be a huge success in terms of customers, it also provided an outlet for seafood that could not be sold to restaurants, as they were closed. Feedback from customers was extremely positive and encouraging.
The team at Atlantis of Kilmore Quay decided to set up a dedicated website where everyone could browse their full range and order whenever they liked.
Bord Bia, the national food agency, worked closely with Atlantis of Kilmore Quay to develop its e-commerce offering, ensuring that it will be the best in class.
The website – www.atlantisofkilmorequay.ie – is now live and offers a range of sustainably sourced seafood for home delivery.
