Charlie Rowe thanked everyone who was involved or supported the club in any way during 2020. He especially thanked outgoing secretary Stephen O’Connor for his great work and commitment over the past five years and six more prior to that.

During the past year the club had completed payment of the loan for the third pitch. Another achievement was the completion of the Walking Track which is proving a great asset to the community. Charlie was praised for the amount of time and effort he put in to this project.

On the playing field the junior hurlers reached the county final and the senior footballers reached the quarter final both losing to St Martin’s. The Junior B footballers narrowly missed qualifying for the knockout stages while the club fielded a Junior B hurling team for the first time in 11 years. CLEAN UP

The Campile area development committee recently did a rubbish clean-up in the village and approaching roads and would like to thank all who helped. A large amount of unneccessary rubbish was collected and the committee would like if people were more responsible and stopped throwing litter around the village and in the ditches.
