Appeal for return of furniture stolen from home

-

THE theft of two pieces of furniture from an elderly man in New Ross has prompted an appeal from gardaí for their return.

A house was broken into some time between the early morning of January 22 and January 26.

Supt John McDonald said that a handmade hall table made by the victim of the burglary and a writing desk were taken.

‘ They are of huge sentimental value to him,’ said Supt Mc

Donald.

‘We would appeal to the better nature of whoever is responsible to return them. They are not of any great monetary value and he put a lot of time and effort into making them.

It would mean the world to him if they were returned to someone who can give them back to him,’ Supt McDonald said.
