Wexford Mental Health Association – providing the light in Co Wexford
WEXFORD Mental Health Association has been in existence in co Wexford for 40 years. It was established by a group of enthusiastic volunteers to support the people of Co Wexford to live well and to promote positive mental health to all.
WMHA uses innovative and creative ways to bring positivity to the people of Wexford, through various initiatives and strategies. We try to incorporate all aspects of the arts in our programmes to support people with mental health difficulties. We work in partnership with the HSE and various other support organisations to reach as many people as we can.
With our varied strategies and initiatives, we always aim to include activities and events that will appeal to all people in the community, from the very young to those who are no longer young but young at heart! Our aim is to provide cheer and positivity and our message is always a hopeful one and a helpful one too.
Look out for our pocket Wellness Guide that was launched in October last. Copies of this really practical and helpful guide can be found in lots of locations around County Wexford including many local pharmacies. In our Wellness guide you will find many positive tips on staying healthy and well.
