SCHOOL ENROLMENT

Gusserane NS is now taking enrolments for the school year 2021/2022. If you wish to enrol your son or daughter please send an email with your name and address to gusseranen­s@ gmail.com and they will send you an enrolment form in the post. The school phone number is 051 262209. If you would like to leave a message on the answering machine the school secretary will return your call as soon as possible.

BINGO

Gusserane Ladies’ Football club have organised online bingo to help get the parish through the current lockdown and raise some much needed funds for their club. It takes place on Wednesday evenings from 8 p.m. To sign up you will need to email gusseranel­gfabingo@gmail.com with your name, phone number, email address and number of bingo cards that you require. Payment of €8 per card is through Revolut to 087 8372910, but if you have any issues with payment or getting set up your are asked to contact Aoife (086 2182901) or Breda (087 3844945). There was a great online attendance for the inaugural bingo night last Wednesday where the Gusserane Ladies’ club put on a superb show and Tony Murphy proved a natural as the bingo caller. Well done to the following cash winners: Amanda Power, Dee Power, James Kinsella, Sharon Fenlon, Statia Curran, Emma O’Neill, Bridget Conway, Lauren Twomey, Lisa Wall and Aaron Curry. Well done also to winners of spot prizes; Shauna Blake, Mark O’Neill,

Paraic Conway, Finny Ryan and Shane Cullen.

SYMPATHY

Sincere sympathy is extended to the family of Edno Cummins of Balliniry, who passed away last week. Edno’s brother, the late Fr Paddy Cummins served as priest in residence in Gusserane till his untimely death in 2006.
