RAMSGRANGE VILLAGE COMPETITION

South West Wexford Family Resource Centre are running a free bird watch competition. We have 10 free bird box nesting packs to give away on a first come, first served basis. All you need to do is to decorate the bird box included in the pack, feed the birds that visit your garden, record how many different species you can spot, and take photos or a video of your bird box and the visiting birds. With your permission we will then post your pictures on our Facebook page and the entry with the most likes will win some lovely chocolates, sponsored by Floods, Centra, Ramsgrange. FUSION YOUTH CAFÉ

Why not join us for some fun activities every Wednesday at 6 p.m. Fusion Youth Café is now open to young people through Zoom video calling. We will have games and quizzes, arts and crafts and provide an opportunity for young people to just hang out and chat. ONLINE COURSES IN RAMSGRANGE

We are still taking names for our QQI accredited online courses in South West Wexford FRC, Ramsgrange with courses in Payroll Level 5, Communications Level 5, and children with Additional Needs Level 5 to commence shortly.

Classes take place online one night a week from 6.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. If you are in receipt of a Social Welfare payment you should contact your local Intreo/ DEASP office as you may be eligible for funding towards your course. DIGITAL WELLBEING CHAMPION

Are you living with a long-term health condition? Do you need help to access online information or support? For example: Living well, diabetes education, stroke support groups, COPD and asthma supports, exercise supports, heart failure support groups. Your local Wellbeing Digital Champion can help you to use a device (e.g. smart phone, tablet, iPhone, iPad or computer) to connect with family and friends, use the internet, set up an email address, use WhatsApp and Zoom, download and use apps, etc. Contact your local Wellbeing digital champion Sheila Ward, South West Wexford Family Resource Centre (SWWFRC) at 087 0985706 or email admin1@swwfrc.ie. SUGRADH CHILDCARE

Our childcare staff are delivering essential services to vulnerable children and children of essential workers during this pandemic. We want them to be protected while they are at work. It is vital that childcare staff are prioritised in the national vaccine rollout. Please support us by sharing this on all social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook. Your input can make our voices heard.

Community Employment position – South West Wexford Family Resource Centre, Ramsgrange have advertised a Community Employment position on the Jobs Ireland website. Staff at the centre are continuing to work in various remote ways at this time, but are here at the end of the phone or by email to support you as best we can. Our doors may be closed to the public but we are still open for essential services including.

SCHOOL ENROLMENTS

Ramsgrange Central NS is now taking enrolments for September 2021. Enrolment forms are available in the school, or on the school website ramsgrangens.com or by contacting Karen in the office at 051 389363 or ramsgrangens@hotmail.com We are a three teacher school situated in the heart of Ramsgrange Village.
