LAURA LYNN FEBRUARY CHALLENGE
All of the staff at Dillon’s Londis are taking part in the 280,000 steps for February fundraiser in aid of the Laura Lynn Charity. Laura Lynn is a hospice for children with life-limiting conditions and a residential care for children and young adults with disabilities who really need our help. The staff at Dillon’s will be fundraising throughout the month. If you would like to help us raise money for this amazing charity, your contribution will make a massive impact whether you donate big or small. You can donate in store or on their Facebook page.
FETHARD ST MOGUE’S AGM
The annual general meeting of Fethard St Mogue’s GAA Club was held online recently. There was no change in the main officers of the club with chairman Charlie Walsh, secretary Josie Sutton and treasurer Karen Murphy all returned for another year. Team managers, selectors and trainers had been appointed at a previous meeting. 2020 was a disappointing year for both senior teams on the playing fields and the club looks forward to better performances in the coming year. The club enjoyed double success at New Ross District level with both hurlers and footballers winning district titles. The club is still waiting on details of when the county quarter finals will be played. With no fundraising activities possible the club is in a poor position financially and plans will have to be put in place to raise some badly needed funds. The club extends sympathy to Carole Murphy and family on the recent death of her father Paddy in Mountrath, Co. Laois.
