New Ross Standard

Roche Freight receives all-star accreditation for customer focus

-

ROCHE Freight Ireland of Rosslare Harbour has been named an All-Star Transport and Logistics Company by the All-Ireland Business Foundation.

The accreditation is awarded to progressive indigenous Irish businesses that meet the highest standard of verified performance, trust and customer focus and it recognises the hard work and dedication of Roche Freight in providing a best-in-class service to their customers.

All-Star is an independently verified standard mark based on rigorous selection criteria and is overseen by the prestigious All-Ireland Business Foundation.

The adjudication panel was chaired by Dr Briga Hynes of Kemmy Business School at the University of Limerick and Kieran Ring, CEO of the Global Institute of Logistics.

Damien Roche, managing director of Roche Freight, said the company is delighted with the accreditation award for 2020/2021.

‘We believe this is testament to our ongoing improvement ethos, which has helped us gain many blue chip and SME businesses. We believe we always go the extra mile for our clients. That is why they keep coming back and supporting us. It also gives our staff great encouragement that their efforts are worthwhile.’

Mr Ring who is deputy chair of the adjudication board, said the accreditation is in recognition of the company’s outstanding contribution to industry and commerce in Ireland since its foundation in the 1980s, in moving goods worldwide safely, quickly and efficiently.

Dr Hynes said the accreditation, which is now held by over 450 firms, is needed by the thousands of small and medium businesses which operate to their own standards, but have nothing to measure them by.

‘We evaluate a company’s background, trustworthiness and performance, and we speak to customers, employees and vendors. We also anonymously approach the company as a customer and report back on the experience. The business goes through at least two interviews and is scored on every part of the process against set metrics,’ she said.
