COVID VACCINE UPDATE

Dr. Helen Doyle would like to remind all her patients, aged 70 and over, that she will be in contact with them as soon as the vaccine is delivered to her surgery in Duncannon. The first group to be vaccinated in the coming weeks, in her surgery, will be those aged 85 and over.

Updates will be available through Duncannon Parish Newsletter, the RAR (Ramsgrange Active Retired), St Louis Day Care Centre and her Surgery.

CHURCH NEWS

Altar Society duties have been suspended for the moment.

As public Masses are again, not allowed for the foreseeabl­e future, Mass in Duncannon, will be relayed through the outside speakers of the church every Sunday at 10 a.m. only. You are invited to hear Mass from the comfort and safety of your own car.

Trócaire Boxes - These are at the back of the Church for those who need them. Lent is the season for alms-giving. By contributi­ng to Trócaire you are helping people in developing countries who live in shacks with all kinds of diseases and hunger.

Anniversar­ies - Please remember in your prayers William Coleman, Jack Glennon, Mary Butler, V. Rev. Nicholas Canon Power, whose anniversar­ies occur about this time. May they all rest in the peace of Christ. Amen.

SCHOOL ENROLMENT

Any parent who wishes to enrol their child/children in St Oliver’s National School, Duncannon, for September 2021, please contact the school by email at info@duncannonn­s.com before Friday, March 26.

DAY CARE CENTRE

The staff of St Louis Day Care Centre continue to work behind closed doors. They are unable to open as yet in light of the current conditions with Covid 19.

They are keeping close contact with their clients and assisting when they can. The services include meals delivered, home baking by order, laundry, assistance with showering and a nurse to collect prescripti­ons and give advice.

The areas covered include Ramsgrange, Duncannon, Campile, Ballyculla­ne, Gusserane, Fethard and Templetown. Dinners can be ordered by 10 a.m. each day, Monday to Friday. The centre can be contacted at 051 389509 or stlouisday­carecentre@gmail.com.
