Mass for Carrig-on-Bannow church will continue online on Saturdays at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m. on churchserv­ices.tv then county Wexford then Carrig-on-Bannow. There is Mass also at 10 a.m., Tuesday to Friday.

GAA COISTE NA NOG FUNDRAISER

Our underage management committee have come up with a novel fundraiser this year. Tickets are now available to purchase for your chance to win a Vintage Tractor. LADIES’ FOOTBALL CLUB

Bannow-Ballymitty Ladies’ Football Club’s Virtual 5K is reschedule­d till the May Bank Holiday Sunday (May 2).

Only three weeks to go till the big day. Everyone who registers for the 5K will automatica­lly be entered into a draw to win a voucher for the Rolling Bean, who greatly sponsored the prize so thank you all at the Rolling Bean.

GRANTSTOWN COMMUNITY NOTES

We hope everyone is keeping safe and well in these trying times and following all the HSE guidelines with regard to wearing your mask, washing and sanitising your hands and keeping a safe distance from everyone when out in public. If we all do this we will stay safe till everyone has been vaccinated and then the world can finally get back to some kind of normality.

In the meanwhile, don’t forget to get plenty of exercise; it’s good for the mind and body.

MEALS ON WHEELS

Our Meals on Wheels service is available for delivery on Tuesdays and Thursdays of each week. Anyone who wants to avail of this service is required to have their order in before 1 p.m. on Monday for Tuesday’s delivery and before 1 p.m. on Wednesday for Thursday’s delivery. This service makes it easy to avail of a two-course meal which includes a nutritious main course and a delicious desert, all at a very affordable cost.

CE SCHEME VACANCIES

We currently have a number of positions available on our CE Scheme. Caretaker in the beautiful village of Carrig-on-Bannow and Carer/Driver, Laundry Assistant and Kitchen Assistants here in Grantstown Daycare Centre. If you are in receipt of a social welfare payment or unemployed for over 12 months, you may eligible for a CE Scheme. To be part of a CE Scheme is a great opportunit­y to access training and to build on your existing skills or to learn and train in a new skillset. The position involves working 19.5 hours per week. SYMPATHY

We were deeply saddened to learn of Mary Fitzpatric­k’s recent passing in Dublin. We would like to extend our sympathy to all of her family at this time. Mary was a resident in Grantstown for many years and will be greatly missed by all the staff and residents. May her gentle soul rest in peace.
