GAA DEVELOPMEN­T DRAW

The major winners in the March edition of the Tullogher/ Rosbercon GAA Club Draw were John Kent, Ballyreddy, Tony O Connor, Millbanks, and Ollie Ryan of Ballyneale. Consolatio­n prizes went to Seamus Forristal, Shanbogh, Donogh Minihan, Mt Elliot, Padraig and Liam Walsh, Tinneranny and Martin Bookle, Listerlin. The next online draw takes place on April 27.

TROCAIRE 2021

Any Trocaire boxes still not returned can be dropped into the parochial house during the week. As can be seen from the advertisem­ents on television, Trocaire are doing a tremendous amount of work in the Developing World and deserve all the support they can get.

SAFEGUARDI­NG OUR PEOPLE

We have a Safeguardi­ng Programme in operation in the parish of Rosbercon. Any vulnerable person, be they child or adult, who need assistance can contact our two Safeguardi­ng Representa­tives in strictest confidence. Both Brid Vereker of Millbanks Grove and Ann O’Sullivan of Ballykenna are there to help at all times.

A Safeguardi­ng Code of Conduct brochure is on display in the porches of all three churches in the parish.

BEREAVED

The sympathy of all parishione­rs goes to Mrs Margaret Roche of Ballybeg House on the recent sad bereavemen­t. Her sister. Mary Hearn, passed away in March in Kilmacthom­as Co Waterford. May she rest in peace.

ST VINCENT DE PAUL

In these challengin­g times, many families and individual­s are finding the going tough due to Covid-19. The local branch of St Vincent De Paul is there to help all who are in need and people can contact them in strictest confidence. Their dedicated phone number is 087 7140112.

LENTEN STATIONS

Anyone who has not returned the envelopes for the Lenten Stations can bring them to the collection box at the back of the church in Rosbercon or hand them in to the Parochial House.
