How to get that ‘knack’ of winning

What separates a successful punter from a losing punter – and how you can tilt the odds in your favour! By Steven Oliver of BetInfo24

Ihave been in the betting industry for many years, and I’ve seen it all, from huge wins, to punters going broke before they even have time to blink! So why is it that ‘most’ people seem to fail miserably and some people have that knack of collecting regular winnings?

Is it down to pure luck or is there more to it? Well let me tell you! Making a success out of the horses requires hard work and dedication just like any other part of life. Successful businesses don’t become successful over night on the back of pure luck! Yes, their product or service may appear to hit off really quickly, but the run up to this point has been a hard graft, dedication and persistence.

A similar thing applies with betting. I have found that the majority of people who lose money regularly are the kind of people with the‘get rich quick’mentality! The thought that you can make 10x your money in as little as two minutes on a horse is very appealing, but far from practical.

I once received a very kind and warming email from a member of one of our Ratings services. (www.theprofessionalsyndicate.com) He was basically thanking us as he had just cleared over 10k profit in a few short months by using our ratings!

Then, to my surprise, I receive another email just five minutes later from another member of the same service telling me what a disgrace it was and how he just lost money on the horses he backed. This guy wanted a refund and he took all of his anger out on me! Wow,talk about opposite ends of the scale. Let’s not forget these guys were talking about the exact same service! So how could that be? Simple,it’s down to the person and their mentality.

The first guy had spent a lot of time recording results and testing different strategies until he found one that worked for him. He was persistent and dedicated and in the end he reaped the rewards.

The second guy jumped straight in and backed a load of horses that were given as ‘top rated’.(Not a good idea). He then lost his bank and took his frustration out on me! Blaming anything and everything but himself!

So the point I am trying to make here is that you can’t always blame the information provided to you. Many punters are ‘gamblers’ and gamblers are usually lazy.If you want to be successful at betting you need to be prepared to put in the effort. Discipline is the number one key.Without it you are doomed.

You can source information, whether it is from a tipping service or system and then you can utilize that information by finding new angles and profitable strategies. It may not be staring you in the face, but it will be there. You’ve probably joined a tipster where his results are that bad you would have made a nice profit by Laying his tips!

A prime example right here; I just received this copy of a winning betting slip from a member of the TPS ratings service, he uses the selections to form a lucky63 each day. He only went and bagged £14,875 profit with five winners from the six!! That was his fourth big win! He’s found a good angle and now takes full advantage of it.
