Rory Gallagher was the People’s Guitarist. Unassuming but tenacious, the Irish blues man devoted his life to touring and playing his beloved Fender Stratocaster to adoring audiences. In 1974, when many other musicians did not tour Northern Ireland, Gallagher did, winning him thousands of fans and in the process, inspiring other aspiring young Irish musicians, including U2.
