RTÉ Guide Christmas Edition

The countdown has begun!

The preparatio­n for the big day at Ballyknock­en has begun. This is the week that I bake with the children – we’ll make cookies, plum sauce, mince pies and meringues for unexpected guests, as well as a treat for the last day of school. I love this time of year, although it just comes around way too fast. We’re hanging up wreaths, decking the hallway with fairy lights and have already trundled out to find the perfect Christmas tree!
