* Exciting news for our food columnist, Catherine Fulvio, who is teaming up with top chef Paul Ainsworth to host a new BBC show, Best Christmas Food Ever, in the run-up to the big day. Catherine and Paul will be preparing dishes which capture the essence of Christmas and explore the tastes that de ne the season. A number of celebrity guests will drop in to enjoy a dish that has a festive meaning for them.

* Following her successful run on Ray Donovan, legendary actress AnnMargret has joined the cast of US series, Happy!, for its second season. The series follows the fortunes of Nick Sax (Christophe­r Meloni), a hitman who befriends an imaginary winged horse named Happy (Patton Oswalt). The Swedish actress, famous for her roles in the likes of Viva Las Vegas (1964), The Cincinnati Kid (1965) and Carnal Knowledge (1971), will play the recurring role of Bebe Debarge, a former siren of stage and screen.

* Channel 4 has commission­ed a documentar­y entitled Steph and Dom: Can Cannabis Save Our Son? It follows the former Gogglebox stars as they struggle to help their 18-year-old son, Max, who has severe epilepsy and autism. In recent months, Steph and Dom have been given new hope, as one of the constituen­ts of medical marijuana, CBD, has been shown to control or even eliminate the deadly seizures which blight Max’s life. They are currently being refused this treatment. This one-o lm follows Steph, Dom and Honor, their 15-yearold daughter, in their e orts to help Max.
