One born every minute
After getting a to-do list from Jean to prepare for the birth of her baby, Hayley is feeling overwhelmed, but Miriam is on hand to o er support. Miriam tells Hayley about a child with foetal alcohol syndrome that she and Arshad fostered, and the guilt from drinking throughout her pregnancy overcomes Hayley, who storms out. Back with Jean, Hayley reveals that she drank while in Spain, and Jean immediately becomes suspicious. With Jean’s questions about the father becoming awkward, Hayley leaves again and goes drinking in the park, but will Jean give up? The next day, Hayley hits a new low after a dressing down from Jean. She bumps into Keanu, who goes on to tell the rest of the Slaters that Hayley said she was going “home”. The family realise, with horror, where she is heading, and soon they are racing up the stairs of an abandoned tower block where they nd Hayley perched on the edge of a balcony. Will Kat, Jean and Mo be able to talk her down?
Elsewhere, Stacey nally convinces Ruby to go to the police about what happened on the night of Martin’s reunion. During questioning, however, Martin feels uncomfortable as certain details come to light which draw Ruby’s side of the story into question.
Sharon and Keanu become paranoid that Phil knows what has been happening between them as they begin to receive threatening text messages from an unknown number.
