After 22 years of playing Niamh in Fair City, Clelia Murphy is loving being Clelia. Since she left Carrigstown in 2017, Clelia has already finished a writing course, developed a play, taken some time out and most notably, been dancing her heart out in Dancing With the Stars. After she hangs up her dancing shoes, she will appear in Maeve Binchy’s Light A Penny Candle. Inside she talks to Donal O’Donoghue about raising her daughter, actress Clarabelle; battling anorexia when she was just 16 and finding love in recent years. As she says herself, “In this life you are going to fall; it’s how you pick yourself up that matters.”
