The channel has branched out over the last few years with its incredible slate of foreign drama, and this new series from Sky Italia – the team behind the critically-acclaimed Gomorrah – is a fine addition.
Penned by best-selling Italian novelist Niccolò Ammaniti, it begins with a police raid at a notorious mob boss’ hideout, which leads to the discovery of a statue of the Virgin Mary that is weeping blood.
All those who come close to the case – including haematologist Sandra, mob boss Molocco and struggling priest Marcello – find themselves drawn into its mystery.
