In Ros na Rún, Vince is delighted to see a stranger arrive, and welcomes her with open arms. In EastEnders, Whitney arrives and to Karen’s surprise, thanks her for calling the police. On March 8, Emmerdale features just the female characters in a special episode marking International Women’s Day. It has been written, produced, directed and recorded by am all-female crew. Continuing the theme, in Neighbours, Piper and Terese organise a celebration of International Women’s Day, In Home & Away, when Chelsea gets a job offer she cannot refuse, she and Colby bring their wedding forward. In Hollyoaks, Lily gets a conditional offer at Newcastle University to study medicine. In Fair City, Breda obliquely reveals to Orla and Wayne that she knew what was going on the whole time, but as long as everyone is discreet there will be no repercussions.
