Wayne’s insecuriti­es are still running high as Tommy continues to muscle in on his territory. Orla tells him he needs to get over it, and he takes his frustratio­ns out on Doug. is pushes Doug over the edge and he quits. Orla is livid when she nds out, and begs Doug to reconsider. However, Wayne and Doug fail to see eye to eye over the terms of his employment, so Orla tells Doug about the IVF in an e ort to get him to cut Wayne some slack. Wayne isn’t happy and has a go at Orla for making him look weak.

It all proves too much for Orla, but a er a conversati­on with Dolores, she apologises to Wayne. e detente doesn’t last as Orla brushes o Wayne’s attempts to comfort her, and she is happy that Tommy is around to share some of his positive attitude. When Tommy and Orla receive good news about the IVF and Junior without him, Wayne is devastated and wonders about whether his marriage can survive this rocky patch.

e mood isn’t much better elsewhere, as Paul res Callum in front of Ruth. Annoyed, Callum tells Melanie she’ll soon discover what kind of man Paul really is. Melanie’s suspicions are aroused when she thinks Paul is trying to interfere with her family. Alex is shocked at Melanie’s rudeness when she tells him not to accept any more favours from Paul, and decides to make it up to him by agreeing to have dinner with Paul. However, she causes a scene when she refuses to let him pay, and he’s upset to discover what Melanie really thinks of him.
