Tonight’s feature – Nicolás Cruz Hernandez – Still Fighting – tells the emotional story of world-class boxing coach Nicolás Cruz Hernandez, who went from training the Irish team for three Olympic games to sleeping on a camp bed in the National Boxing Stadium in Dublin.

We hear how his struggles with depression have constantly overshadowed his career high points, and how a few years ago his friends in Irish boxing came together to o er him an extraordinary deal – if he agreed to get professional treatment for his crippling condition, they would take him back home to visit his family in Cuba.

This is the story of their journey to Cuba, as well as that of the extraordinary world-class boxing trainer, both in and out of the ring.
