Škoda Enyaq iV sells out

-

ŠKODA Ireland’s first electric vehicle, the Enyaq iV, is due to arrive in June of this year and Škoda Ireland has already sold their allocation, with more than 280 online reservations received.

The aggressively styled five-seat SUV has a range of up to 510km (WLTP) and went on sale at 9am on November 26 last year. Reservation was offered exclusively online with a €1,000 deposit, providing prospective Enyaq iV buyers access to the earliest vehicles.

John Donegan, brand director at Škoda Ireland, said: “Within 25 minutes of opening the online ordering system we received 100 online deposits. This achievement is even more remarkable when you consider the Enyaq iV has not begun production and hasn’t been test-driven by any customers.

“I would like to thank those customers for placing their trust and confidence in the Skoda brand. Our job now is to secure production to deliver these vehicles to our customers as early as possible.

“For prospective customers who missed out, we expect production to ramp up at the end of this year for improved supply in 2022.”

Enyaq pre-grant prices will start from €46,570 for the Enyaq 60 and €54,630 for the Enyaq 80. All Enyaq vehicles are priced exclusively with a 3-year service and tyre plan. Škoda has also welcomed the recent grant confirmation from the SEAI for BEVs next year. Up to €7,800 of grants and incentives are available to Enyaq iV customers in 2021.
