Update
CONNACHT RUGBY BOYS U-13 PLATE FINAL
SLIGO RFC took the spoils against Galwegians in convincing fashion on Saturday last, scoring four tries and keeping their opponents scoreless in a 22-0 win at the facilities of Ballyhaunis RFC.
The Manus McManus-captained winners, who scored two tries in each half, led 10-0 at half-time. Contributing five-pointers were Luke O’Connor, who scored after two minutes, Charlie Fenton, Sam Carnegie and Alan Smyth. Jamie Boland kicked one conversion.
Such was Sligo’s control that they managed to give game time to their entire matchday squad in the second-half. Last weekend’s defeat of Galwegians completed a run to Plate glory that included victories over Ballinasloe (53-28), Castlebar (32-0) and Corrib (17-7).

Against a strong team from the Athlone-based Buccaneers, Sligo established a foundation for victory when leading 8-3 at half-time.
Their first-half scores came from winger James McGettrick, who scored a try after 18 minutes, and outhalf Cillian O’Neill, who successfully
