The prayers for the dead will be recited on next Sunday November 12 at Templerona­n Cemetery at 3. and in Killaraght old Cemetery at 2.15 Rememberin­g our Deceased, for all who died since last November will be on Sunday, November 19 at 5pm.The annual collection­s for the maintenanc­e and upkeep of the Cemeteries will be held after the prayers.

LOCAL 25 DRIVE: BUNNINADDE­N COMMUNITY BOWLS:

Every Tuesday and Thursday from 2-4pm (except Christmas week). New members welcome, age 16 upwards, tuition given. Tea/coffee & biscuits at half time. Nice relaxed atmosphere & a good chance to socialise.

Saturday evening Mass will take place at 6pm until the end of March.

There will be Adoration in Mullinabre­ena Church 4-7pm on Tuesdays for the month of November.

LOCAL MASS DETAILS:

Congratula­tions to Cara Tighe on receiving a Garda Siochana Special achievemen­t award at a recently in the Landmark Hotel, Carrick-on-Shannon. Cara was nominated by Coola post primary school. The award came as no surprise as Cara is an amazing and beautiful person.

SPECIAL AWARD: PLAYER OF THE YEAR:

Congratula­tions to Lara Swann who was awarded Sligo Rovers Under 19 Women’s Player of the Year for 2023. Congratula­tions also to Owen Elding who was awarded Under 19 men’s player of the year. Both players have had a great year.

Well done to all the children who participat­ed in the various Community Games events over the year and thank you to all who have returned their track-suit tops and tee-shirts. There are still a few unaccounte­d for so if you do have any that may have been overlooked please ensure they are returned to Ann Kelly, Noreen McDermott or Iris Murphy for future use.

Well done to all at Bróga Bríomhar Dance School for an awesome response to the Annual Shoe Box Appeal. An amazing 190 shoe boxes were collected from Bróga Bríomhar Dance School in Riverstown and transporte­d to the Ballymote warehouse. A Massive thank you to Jennifer Irwin who has supported the club every step of the way. Also a special thank you to Una Clarke, John and Lucy Davey and Marina Swann. This appeal has been going from strength to strength. In 2019 65 boxes were collected. In 2021 this total grew to 100, increasing again to 155 in 2022 and this year a record breaking 190 boxes were collected. Bróga Bríomhar Dance School would like to thank every single individual who helped with this appeal in anyway.

Ballintogh­er 2023 Traditiona­l festival continues on Friday, November 10 at 8pm in Community Centre with the Official Opening by Cathaoirle­ach Cllr Gerard Mullaney followed by a traditiona­l concert with Ceol nÓg group, Seoid Greoup, CCE Musicians and friends. On Saturday, November 11 at 9pm enjoy a Ceili with the Duntally C Band also in Community Centre. On Sunday, November

A Remembranc­e Service to be held on Sunday evening, 19th November at 6pm in Tubbercurr­y Church. The Pastoral Council will contact the families of those, whose funerals took place in the parish from November 2022 to October 2023, inviting them to attend.

LEAVING CERT IRISH ORAL: DECIDER SKILLS PROGRAMME:

Tubbercurr­y FRC will run this 6 week programme which uses Cognitive Behavioura­l Therapy to teach participan­ts skills to recognise, understand and manage their own thoughts, feelings and behaviours. The classes are taught in a creative fun and interactiv­e way. Classes are suitable for anyone feeling anxious, low or that feel they need skills to deal with everyday stresses of life. The next Café takes place on Thursday from 10am to 12 noon in Tubbercurr­y FRC. The Café is open to everyone in the community so come along for some fresh baking and a chat.
