CARRAROE COMMUNITY GARDA:
Garda Mark Connor is now the assigned Community Garda for the Carraroe area. Mark can be contacted at Sligo Garda Station on 0719157000. You can leave a message and Mark will call you as soon as possible and if necessary, he will visit you. Should you have any concerns appropriate to An Garda Siochana you can communicate with Mark directly. If an emergency you should call 999 or 112.

A parking and traffic management protocol is agreed by Board of Management, Residents, Parents Association and Sligo County Council and is in place for a number of years. The purpose is to assist in ensuring easier flow of traffic around the school area. Parents are requested to observe the arrangement in interest of all.
SCHOOL PARKING PROTOCOL: BOTTLE/CAN BANKS IN CARRAROE:
We want to highlight this facility is for Community use and not for use by commercial businesses. We want to thank residents of Carraroe for the respectful use of the Recycling Banks to date. Do not leave rubbish beside the bins. Please note the facility is monitored by recorded CCTV. 24/7.
We are appealing to all Carraroe residents to join the campaign to reduce use of paper, packaging and recycle as much as possible. Your efforts no matter how small will assist the environment and reduce our national carbon footprint. Remember every little individual effort counts. Promote the campaign by displaying Carraroe car sticker available from 0892459123.
REDUCE REUSE RECYCLE:
We will be looking at electing a new Parish Council in the Parish later this year. Those who can vote must be registered in the Parish. Also, the Parish Community Centre needs a new committee. -further details later.
CARRAROE PARISH NEWS:
We are working on forming a Youth Choir in the Parish. The invitation will be extended to sixth class and beyond to take part in this choir. Local parishioners and some members of the school staff will help with the project. Further information will be available later in the month.
YOUTH CHOIR: SENIORS ALARM SCHEME:
CADRA would urge all eligible residents to avail of the scheme as it a great comfort and support to people. Anyone over 65 is eligible. Anyone that already has the alarm is advised to wear the pendent at all times including in shower (as its water proof) and bed.

Our sincerest condolences to the families and friends of the late Rory Quinn of Ballina Road, Enniscrone, who passed peacefully at home on November 12 surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents Joan and Tom.
Rory will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his wife Joan, his children Deirdre, Áine, Ciarán, Siobhán, and Niamh.

We would like to thank the staff of the West Sligo Family Resource Centre Enniscrone, the sponsors of all prizes donated, the ladies who baked for us, sold tickets, and helped out in any way. Thanks to all to came and donated their time and money for our Coffee morning in aid of Northwest Hospice, thank you to Sylvie who provided the music for us on the day, we raised a whooping €556.60.

Kilglass National School Parents Association hosted a quiz night in the Hilltop Pub Culleens, on Saturday, November 11. November Mass Offering Envelopes will be available from both churches within the next few days. Please pick up an envelope at any time from the church, it contains a piece of paper on which you can write the names of all your deceased loved ones. You can then return the envelope to the church and the list will remain on the altar for all Masses throughout the month of November.
Saint Muredach’s Cathedral choir is performing Handel’s Messiah under the direction of Regina Deacy in Saint Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina on Saturday November 11 at 8pm. The Cathedral choir will be joined for this choral masterpiece by members of Westport-based
“Cór Mhaigh Eo”, along with a professional chamber orchestra and soloists. This performance is also part of Ballina 2023 celebrations. All proceeds go to the restoration of the stained-glass windows in Saint Muredach’s Cathedral.
