Silverware occasion for champs Glenview Stars
Superb Glenview Stars are unbeaten in the inaugural Sligo Bay Lobsters Women’s League
GLENVIEW Stars wrapped up their capture of the inaugural Sligo Bay Lobsters Women’s League in style – the 1-0 defeat of Arrow Harps on Friday last at MacSharry Park meant the Forthill side competed the campaign unbeaten.
The title winners, who were afterwards presented with the trophy, won 10 of their 11 games, drawing once and losing on zero occasions.
Their game against Arrow Harps was settled by striker Sarah O’Boyle’s 64th minute goal – her 15th of the season – when, after being sent through on goal, she rounded Arrow Harps

The trophy was presented to Glenview captain Gemma McDonagh by competition sponsor Owen McLoughlin and the Sligo-Leitrim District Soccer League (SLDSL) secretary Noel M Kennedy.
Also present was Thomas Hughes, the FAI Connect co-ordinator who assists the SLDSL.
