SLIGO has been chosen as the host destination for the prestigious UCI Gran Fondo Ireland in June.

Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council, Councillor Gerard Mullaney, expressed his enthusiasm for hosting the UCI Gran Fondo Ireland at a launch event in Sligo City Hall last Friday, stating, "We are truly honoured to welcome the UCI Gran Fondo Ireland to our beautiful county.
“This event will not only provide an incredible opportunity for athletes to compete at the highest level, but it will also showcase the county's natural beauty and rich cultural heritage to a global audience.
“We look forward to welcoming participants, spectators, and cycling enthusiasts from around the world to experience the warm hospitality and vibrant culture that Sligo has to offer."
The UCI Gran Fondo, organised by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI), represents the pinnacle of amateur cycling, attracting dedicated riders from around the world.
