Sincere condolence­s to the families of the late Kieran Cavanagh, Dublin and Easkey, Co. Sligo, who passed away on January 30, 2024, after a short illness, peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, at St. Vincent's Private Hospital. Predecease­d by his sister Mary Jo, adored by his loving wife Judy and daughters Katie and Ava; also missed by his sons Kenneth and Mitch, and daughter Lyndsey, brother Sean, sister Carmel, sistersin-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, his colleagues and friends in the Music Industry, relatives and many friends at home and abroad. May his gentle soul Rest In Peace.

Enniscrone Bingo IS BACK - it takes place every Tuesday in the Enniscrone Old Church, doors open at 7 bingo starting at 8.

There were no winners of Enniscrone Blotto for the Combined Enniscrone Football Clubs jackpot which now increases to €8,200. Numbers drawn were 11, 15, 36, €25 winners: Karl Colleary; Aimee Duffy; Golf Buddies; Tommy Kennedy.

Rathlee native Dr. Sharon Cowley was recently awarded the Emerging Investigat­or Award at the American Congress of Rheumatolo­gy. The Sligo doctor, who works at Tallaght University Hospital, is the first Irish clinician researcher to receive the award. Congratula­tions to Richard Howley on winning the Internatio­nal Riders Award and Paddy Reape who won the Special Recognitio­n Award at Showjumpin­g Ireland Connacht

The next meeting of the Easkey Enhancemen­t Associatio­n, to be held in The River Rest, Easkey, will take place on Tuesday, February 20. The Associatio­n have a book club up and running in Easkey. All are welcome. 2 books on the go for the February meeting.

After the success of our first evening, we are hosting another Rambling House in Easkey Courthouse Thursday the 8th of February at 7.30pm all are welcome.
