McLoughlin. 1st and 2nd place winners will go to National Finals in Kilkenny on weekend of June 8 and 9. Community Games Chess and Draughts competitio­n will take place in Ardkeeran National School on Thursday, March 14 starting at 5.30pm. Art competitio­n will take place on Friday, April 12 at 6pm also in Ardkeeran NS. Handwritin­g and Model-making will take place on Sunday, April 14 at 1pm in Sooey NS. Athletics will take place on Sunday, May 26 in Riverstown Community Park. The

Riverstown Annual tractor run will take place on Easter Monday, April 1, at 2pm sharp. Registrati­on open from 12.30 in Riverstown Community Park. All makes, size and age of vehicles welcome: tractors, motorbikes, vintage cars and trucks. There will be a raffle and lots of spot prizes, free children’s raffle and goodie bags. Refreshmen­ts will be available at Riverstown Teach Ceoil. Prize for best dressed driver. All proceeds will be distribute­d to Riverstown Tidy Towns, Riverstown Community Games and Riverstown Community First Responder Training. Entry fee €20. TRACTOR RUN:

Ceoltóirí Coleman Concert and Special Guests on Saturday, March 23 at 8pm. Always a great night, without a doubt this concert will be a lively one with music, song and dance. Riverstown Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann presents Ryan Sheridan, Conor McDonagh, Sinead Johnston and Conor Connolly in concert on Saturday, April 20 in the Morrison Cottage, Riverstown at 8.30pm. Admission is €15 on the door and refreshmen­ts will be served.
