A new exercise class for the over 50's will be starting at Ballymote FRC after Easter. The aim of the programme is to encourage people over the age of 50 to be more physically active, and to participat­e in strength and conditioni­ng based exercises. The classes will be running at 10am Friday mornings. There will be two classes one for men and one for women. Please contact Ballymote FRC on 071-9197818 for more details.

Pilates classes for adults are running at Ballymote FRC on Tuesday evenings from 6-9pm.

COOLANEY/ROCKFIELD TIDY TOWNS:

Are encouragin­g all residents of Coolaney/Rockfield to asist in the efforts to regain the County Sligo Tidiest Town Award in the 2024 Supervalu National Tidy Towns Competitio­n by: having colourful window boxes, flower pots, weed free and clean footpaths, litter free streets, exterior painting. All are asked to have as much work as possibl before June.

Coolaney/ Rockfield Tidy Towns Committee wish to thank all the volunteers who came out for The annual Coolaney/Rockfield Towns Good Friday cleanup. A large amount of rubbish collected and disposed of. Thisclean up would not be possible if it were not for the great community spirit and all te volunteers who work tirelessly to keep the village/Rockfield and the surroundin­g areas looking so well, its a credit to all concerned.

A Harry Potter Easter Camp will run from Wednesday, April 3 to Friday,

April 5 from 10.30am to 2.30pm in the community centre Coolaney. Activities include easter egg hunt, lots of arts and crafts, outside treasure hunts, lots of fun and games, goodies and treats every day. The cemetery Mass for Collooney takes place in St Nathy's cemetery on Friday August 2 at 8pm.

Coolaney Junior and Senior Foroige Club are holding a fundraiser and raffle, Bake Sale takes place on March 3 from 11 am to 1 pm in the community centre Coolaney. Big Prizes: over 800 hundred euro in prizes and the first prize will be €200. This fundraiser is to raise much needed funds for the cub activities throughout the year. Your support would be greatly appreciate­d.

The blessing of engaged couples and those celebratin­g signifiant anniversar­ies of marriage (10 years, 20, 25, 40 and 50 years of marriage and longer) will be held in the Cathedral in Ballaghade­rreen on Sunday February 18 at 4pm.

Takes place every Friday in the community centre Bunninadde­n at 9pm. Learn to jive, quick step, foxtrot, slow waltz, old time waltz with a mixture of live dances and sloshes for good measure and fun. Refreshmen­ts will be served. A lovely social night to meet up with frends, come along on your own or bring a friend or partner. Chat to Christophe­r the tutor on 086-8474744.

The card game resumes in the community centre in Ballinacar­row tonight, Thursday at 9pm. Great social night out looking forward to meeting our card playing friends again and everyone welcome.

St Fechin and St Lassara Church, Ballinacar­row now has its own webcam. It can be found on www.churchtv. ie/ballinacar­row. It can also be accessed through the parish website-www.kilvarnetp­arish. com/webcam. Because ut relies 5G mobile broadband , the camera will only be turned on during Mass times and at the discretion off the Celebrant. Hopefully this new venture will be of benefit to those far and near who have connectiob­s with Ballinacar­row.
