STYLE AMBASSADOR, DUBAI DUTY FREE IRISH DERBY FESTIVAL

-

Rachel, you are this year’s Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby Style Ambassador. Are you looking forward to your visit to the festival? Yes, I can’t wait! It’s my first trip back to Ireland since The Voice so it will be great to get dressed up and have a flutter at the races while catching up with friends. You are on the judging panel for the Most Stylish Lady, what will you be looking for? For me, fashion is all about your own individual style and having fun with it. I’ll be looking for a winning outfit that has been thoughtfully put together by someone having fun and with a personalised and unique edge. Before I was in S Club, I studied Fashion PR so I’m really excited to be this year’s Style Ambassador. Do you have any style advice to share? Be confident in what you wear and take inspiration for colours, cuts and prints from the catwalks and current trends but translate them to make them work for you. Who are the most stylish Irish women you know? I met my friend Ingrid Hoey on The Voice; she always looks amazing and is so stylish. I’m a fan of Laura Whitmore’s style too - she looks gorgeous in a boho, relaxed, yet chic way. Who are your favourite Irish designers and do you like to shop here? I love Umit Kutluk’s designs and I am a fan of Simone Rocha’s too. I can’t wait to discover more Irish designers and milliners and swap style tips with the ladies. Are you enjoying working in Ireland? I love it! It feels like my second home and I’ve been so warmly welcomed and everyone’s so friendly. I’m so grateful for everyone’s support here.
