The person

The people . . . my parents, Liam and Philomena. They gave me a great childhood and they have been a pillar of strength and support to me throughout my whole life. They are great crack, too!

The memory

One of the best days I had last year was with some of my best friends at the Saffron brunch in Atlantis The Palm hotel in Dubai. It was a day full of food, cocktails, singing and dancing

The moment of the day

Getting into bed after a long day

The song

I don’t have one particular song, but rather many that change from week to week — but I really love something I can sing to. Right now, it’s Adele’s Remedy

The movie

This year I really loved Room — the acting in it really blew me away. My favourite movie from my childhood would be The Lion King

The hero

Adi Roche. I really look up to her. She does amazing humanitarian work for the children of the Chernobyl disaster, with Chernobyl Children International, and she also promotes education. She is also from Clonmel, Co Tipperary, which is where I am from, too

The book

I would really like to make more time to read, but I usually only get a chance when I’m on holiday, and the pace of my life slows down a bit. In general, I love thrillers, and last year I really enjoyed Gone Girl; it was a real page-turner

The outfit

Of course there are so many pieces of my own personal style that I enjoy wearing, but I’m a simple gal, so it has to be my fleece pyjamas, fluffy socks and fleece dressing gown. It’s like being wrapped up in cotton wool

The accessory

My Chanel bag. It’s snakeskin — navy and black with a gold strap. It’s my pride and joy

The gadget

My iPhone is like another limb. It broke on me last year and I had to use pay phones to contact people. It’s awful, but I felt like I was living in the Stone Age

The pet hate

Flakiness in friends; people who make plans and consistently cancel. It’s so disappointing, so I always make a conscious effort not to do it myself

The friend

My older sister, Aisling. She is a great listener, has a great sense of humour, and she is the kindest person I know

The beauty product

Great Lengths hair extensions are fantastic for giving my red hair that extra volume for a really glamorous look The holiday A trip to Cancun and Tulum in Mexico was amazing, and I also had the opportunity to visit my first of the New7Wonders of the World — the pyramid at Chichen Itza, on the Yucatan Peninsula, which is also in Mexico The piece of advice When I’m stressed, I usually need reassurance, so I just tell myself, ‘everything is fixable’ The drink My choice of alcoholic drink would be a gin and tonic with a slice of lime; my non-alcoholic choice would be a sparkling water and a dash of lime The hotel The Opera Suite in the Hotel Bristol, Vienna, Austria. It’s overlooking the Vienna State Opera. The hotel has an elegant baroque style, and is the most magical place I have stayed in. It felt straight out of a movie . . . The Sound of Music, to be precise The bar I love the Boom Boom Room, at the top of the Standard Hotel, New York The hobby I recently took up yoga, and I find it really relaxing, and it’s also great for both my well-being and mental health. I definitely plan on doing more yoga this summer The part of my body I love my red hair. People called me a ‘ginger minger’ when I was younger, so I didn’t always appreciate it, and I went through a phase of wanting to dye it blonde. But my mum wouldn’t allow it, and now I’m so grateful that I never touched it The celebrity Taylor Swift. She is funny, has a cool, quirky sense of style, is a fantastic artist, and I love her catchy lyrics The virtue I would consider myself a very honest and loyal person, so these are definitely the virtues that I seek out in friendships and relationships The vice Melted chocolate on strawberries. My birthday parties over the last couple of years have sported a chocolate fountain, and it’s usually where you’ll find me, on my own . . . with a face covered in chocolate The smell I enjoy having flowers in the house; the smell of pink roses is my favourite, and they are very romantic The taste I really love the taste of bitter things and sour things, such as sour sweets and lemon — especially lemon drizzle cake, or slices of lemon in sparkling water. Dark chocolate is also delicious
